“Shifting Generational Preferences in the Workplace and Impacts to Total Reward Strategies”

Mollie Saunders РSenior Rewards Consultant, Willis Towers Watson
Jenny Thierl, MA – Senior Communications Consultant, Willis Towers Watson

We now have five generations actively working within the workforce from Generation Z to baby boomers and even a few Traditionalists. The challenges to develop strategies to meet the diverse needs of your employees are not getting any easier. Long gone is the “one size fits all” approach.

Please join us for a timely and relevant discussion on the expectations and preferences of different generation, how they approach their work and most importantly, what actions you can take to develop winning strategies that can engage your employees across the generational spectrum, while still achieving organizational objectives.

This session will highlight:

  • How generational preferences are impacting Total Reward Strategies
  • How the concepts of pay for performance vs pay for attendance are evolving
  • How work life integration and balance approaches are becoming more important
  • How to effectively engage employees across the generational spectrum and not break the budget
  • Practical, real life applications for employers as they design and implement reward strategies.

This session will be facilitated by two outstanding professionals who bring both a pragmatic and practical approach to this topic: Mollie Saunders is a Senior Rewards Consultant with Willis Towers Watson. She has over 20 years of experience developing and implementing global reward strategies and programs in support of organizational goals and objectives across a variety of companies and industries, including biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, high technology, financial institutions, manufacturing, etc. Mollie received a B.A. from Washington & Lee University, an M.Ed. from Vanderbilt University with specialization in organizational development, and an MBA from Vanderbilt University. Jenny Theirl, Senior Communications Consultant for Willis Towers Watson Human Capital and Benefits Practice, has 13+ years of experience in marketing, communications and account management and provides consulting communicating services to a wide range of clients in the Midwest region. Jenny has a MBA from Hamline University.
