“The New Shape of Work is Flexibility for All”

Andre Rooks – Principal, Mercer
Katie Olender – Associate, Mercer

In the wake of school and workplace closures and family health concerns brought about by COVID-19, employers and employees have had to experiment with new ways of working flexibly. For the most part this experiment, though forced, has been a surprising success. COVID-19 has opened employers’ eyes to the adaptability of their workforce.

Please join us for this session, where Andre Rooks and Katie Olender will provide Mercer’s point of view that flexibility in a post-COVID era will no longer be just an employee benefit or a perk limited to “proven” or tenured employees. In addition, it will no longer be contingent on a personal situation, life event or manager approval.

The future will be shaped by organizations that embrace permanent flexibility for ALL employees to deliver value to both the business and the employee. Andre and Katie will share highlights of Mercer’s research into how organizations can setup their remote workers for success.
