The Benefits of an ISCEBS National Membership

If you have earned the Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS), Compensation Management Specialist (CMS), Group Benefits Associate (GBA), Retirement Plan Associate (RPA) designations, or are an active CEBS student with at least one exam completed, take advantage of the services available to you through ISCEBS.

Benefits Quarterly publication – Learn about the latest trends and innovations in benefits and compensation by reading Benefits Quarterly. In addition to timely articles, this comprehensive publication also includes a special interest section and a legal update.

Newsbriefs – This bimonthly publication helps you stay connected with ISCEBS members. You’ll learn about opportunities to network and participate in seminars. Newsbriefs also covers timely benefits information, current highlights of Society activities, and promotions and career changes of your fellow colleagues.

ISCEBSLink – Here’s a quick, easy way to get answers, access new ideas, and share information on what works and what doesn’t. Other members are a valuable resource for feedback on benefit plans, products and services.

Library/Information research center and Live Chat – Use this resource to solve a problem or benchmark your practices against others in the industry. As a member, you can request personalized research assistance from our experienced information specialists who use the most comprehensive collection of resources available in the benefits industry.

Members’ webcasts – Webcasts offer a convenient and timely way to learn how the latest benefit trends will affect you and what you need to know. One registration fee covers as many people at your location as you wish. Schedule a team meeting afterward for discussion, or use it as a training session.

E-learning courses – These are a great way to get quick, timely updates on the topics you need to know about. In addition to the text-based courses covering various introductory and specialized topics, more than 30 one hour audio/visual e-learning courses are now available in a range of health, pension, compensation and general benefit topics.

Continuing Education Course/Exam – Keep up to date on new developments and latest trends in the benefits industry – enroll in this comprehensive course with optional exam. In many states and provinces, the course/exam meets the licensing and other requirements for continuing education credit for insurance agents, accountants, attorneys and other professionals. The CE exam is eligible for 15-30 CEBS CPE credits.

Membership Directory – An important networking tool, this exclusive listing of Society members gives you access to a national network of benefits and compensation professionals.

Benefits and Compensation Bookstore – The International Foundation offers a bookstore with the most complete collection of industry resource and reference materials. Members are able to purchase industry books at a reduced rate. The books are written by industry experts and are considered to be a key in benchmarking the industry.

Fellowship materials – For those interested in continuing their CEBS learning these materials are included each year (upon request).

International Foundation Job and Resume Service – These services provide a niche for those seeking highly qualified job candidates or a new position. New listings are added daily. The Resume Posting Service is free to Society members.

Continuing education credits – These are available from monthly luncheons and seminars.

Discounted rate – Membership offers you a discount for annual spring seminar.

Job posting – Your employer may be eligible for a discount when you post an opening on the Chapter website. Increase your field of applicants while minimizing the expense of recruitment.

You are supporting our local chapter and its activities. There are numerous opportunities to become involved with our chapter and help other CEBS students and grads leverage their designation. The friendships formed within our Chapters are carried with members for a lifetime.
