This course will provide producers an introduction to statutory paid leave programs (medical/disability leave and family leave plans). The presentation defines the general characteristics of statutory paid leave coverage and discusses how statutory paid leave programs differ from the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and short-term disability (STD) insurance. This discussion will focus on employer compliance responsibilities in each jurisdiction, private plan options and administration.
